Why the New Way of the Universe Philosophy

People have created new philosophies many times in human history. This most commonly happens when the philosophies of the day can no longer explain or manage the new and evolving problems that arise in a culture or society.

The Way of the Universe philosophy is a new philosophy that has emerged primarily because the problems of the very messy 21st century are not adequately managed or resolved by our previous philosophies. 

The Way of the Universe philosophy was created through a careful study of the 20 major causes of humanity's 10,000 years of recurring dysfunction and injustice, and the nature of the escalating polycrisis that humanity now faces. It is also based on another study of the most promising solutions to the 20 causes of humanity's 10,000 years of recurring dysfunction and injustice, including well-reasoned solutions to the escalating polycrisis.

Based on two extensive research studies of the causes and solutions to humanity's 10,000 years of recurring dysfunction and injustice, and the urgency of our current polycrisis, we created a new set of science-grounded values and principles for living in the 21st century that one can put into practice. We call them the Universe Principles.

We describe the Great Reckoning and the Great Rebirth as possibility models of our current escalating polycrisis. These two models help explain both the problems humanity now faces and the solutions available to us. The Great Reckoning also helps to explain the urgency for humanity to adopt a new philosophy, better equipped to address the unique 21st-century problems it now faces.

Additionally, as an integral part of this philosophy, we also discovered we needed to create a logical and rational thinking program from basic thinking skills, analysis, and problem-solving to advanced skills, because so few people have been adequately educated on the collection of thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills needed to solve the unique and serious problems of the modern complexity of the 21st century. 

And finally, we incorporated many of the new values and principles of limited progressive evolution theory. Although some evolution authorities have not accepted these new values and principles, they remain relevant given the current most probable direction and trajectory of future evolutionary theory.

We have not incorporated the useful and powerful limited progressive evolution theory and its values and principles without also including the necessary qualifications for where and when optimal conditions apply, and where they are not guaranteed to work.

We have also included limited progressive evolutionary theory because one of the oldest and most repeated principles of past philosophies is to know the universe, nature, and your place in it. How could you know the universe, nature, and your place in it without also knowing modern evolutionary theory?

We do not claim that everything in the Way of the Universe philosophy is original. We preserved many good principles and values from humanity's past philosophies that are still applicable today. You will find those earlier traditional values and principles mixed with our new evolutionary principles and values (which better address 21st-century problems than previous philosophies did).
