Creating a new philosophy has been done many times in human history. It most commonly occurs when the philosophy or philosophies of the day can no longer explain or manage the new problems that arise in a culture or society.
The Way of the Universe philosophy is a new philosophy that has emerged primarily because the problems of the very messy 21st century are not adequately managed or resolved by our previous philosophies.
This new Way of the Universe philosophy was created through a careful study of the causes of humanity's 10,000 years of recurring dysfunction and injustice, and the nature of the escalating polycrisis humanity now faces. It was also based on another study of the most promising solutions to the causes of humanity's 10,000 years of recurring dysfunction and injustice, including well-reasoned solutions to the escalating polycrisis.
Based on these two extensive research studies of the causes and solutions to humanity's 10,000 years of recurring dysfunction, injustice, and the current polycrisis, we created a new set of science-grounded, evolutionary principles and values for the 21st century that one can put into practice. We call some of them the Universe Principles.
We then created the Great Reckoning and the Great Rebirth descriptive models of our current escalating polycrisis situation and a possible Great Rebirth future to help explain both the problems humanity now faces and the solutions available to us. The Great Reckoning comprehensively explains the tremendous urgency for humanity to have a new philosophy, better equipped to deal with the many new and unique 21st-century problems it now faces.
Additionally, we discovered we needed to create a logical and rational thinking program from basic thinking skills, analysis, and problem-solving to advanced skills, because so few people have been educated on the collection of thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills needed to solve the unique and very serious growing problems of the modern complexity of the 21st-century.
And finally, we incorporated many of the new principles of progressive planetary and universe evolution theory. Although established authorities have not widely accepted these new principles, they remain relevant given the most probable future direction of evolutionary theory. We have not incorporated the useful and powerful progressive evolution theory and principles without also including the necessary qualifications of where and when they apply and where they are not guaranteed to work. Evolutionary theory had to be included because one of the oldest and most repeated principles of past philosophies is to know the universe, nature, and your place in it. How could you know these things unless you knew modern evolutionary theory?
We do not claim that everything in the Way of the Universe philosophy is original. We preserved many good principles and values from humanity's past philosophies that are still applicable. You will find those earlier principles and values mixed with our new principles and values (which address the problems of the 21st century that previous philosophies did not address directly, actively, or tangibly).
